At Southern Heating & Cooling, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. This past winter, we were deeply honored to have the opportunity to support Life Resource Services of Jackson County (LRS) by donating and installing a new duct system and a Trane heat pump.
The winter months can be especially harsh, and for those without a place to call home, the cold can be unbearable. When we learned about the challenges faced by the shelter in keeping their space warm and comfortable for those in need, we knew we had to help. Our team sprang into action, determined to make a difference.
Thanks to the generous support of Trane, Air Engineers and the hard work of our dedicated staff, we successfully installed a new duct system and heat pump. The previous duct system was torn to pieces and keeping the crawlspace more comfortable than the shelter itself. This upgrade not only improved LRS’s heating efficiency but also ensured that the space remained warm and welcoming during the coldest days of winter.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause. Knowing that our contribution brought relief and comfort to those who rely on LRS was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. It is our mission to provide comfort and safety to our community, and this project allowed us to extend that mission to some of the most vulnerable members of our society.
LRS’s mission to help those struggling with homelessness, less fortunate families, and the underserved in our community by providing resources to help rebuild their lives resonates deeply with us. We are proud to support an organization that is dedicated to making such a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.
A special thank you goes to the board members of the shelter for their touching gesture of appreciation. The plaque presented to us is a heartfelt reminder of the impact our work has had, and it holds a place of honor in our office. Your recognition means the world to us and motivates us to continue our efforts in supporting our community.
Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative, and a special thank you to the homeless shelter for allowing us to play a small part in your crucial work. Together, we can continue to build a community where everyone has a warm place to stay.
